^ the problem is finding this person(s) and if they're financial at the time, otherwise you'll get bottom dollar.

I've had a few collectibles gather dust while listed on ebay, you have to wait for the right collector to browse .... or lower your price.

Recently I had something there for months, the moment one person bid a frenzy started between two bidders. I guess many sit patiently watching your price go down but don't bid until it reaches their budget or responding to an immediate threat of missing out.

Earlier in the year I asked about PC speakers. I ended up going for Logitech Z623 because JB and Good Guys stock them and a friend of mine gets discounts there. The sub is rather large and I'm pretty happy with them so far. Thanks for the advice back then.

I got into Helloween in the late 90s, by which time Andy Deris had been on vocals for ages. People would always go on about Michael Kiske though as if he was some sort of god. Anyway I checked him out and found his style to be quite annoying, and still haven't warmed to it. Is his popularity partly because there weren't as many vocalists like that back when he was in the band?

What do you fine folks think? I might just not be appreciating him as much as I should.

Kiske had an amazing range back in the day (well, he still does) and it was very comparable to Geoff Tate, who was blowing the world away with his range and power. I think that combined with Helloween being one of the first true power metal bands cemented their legendary status.

While I do love the Keepers albums, Live in the UK, most of Pink Bubbles, etc. I'd still actually rate Better Than Raw with Deris on vocals way higher. Such a heavy, dark album!

But yeah, I don't think we'd be doing what we're doing now without the Kiske albums. They were game changing!

Can anyone recommend karaoke places in Sydney CDB that have a reasonable selection of English metal songs? Specifically the places where you hire a small room for an hour or two, and can order in food and alcohol.

My girlfriend (Japanese) got my friends and I into Karaoke. She took us to a place on George St called Mizuya which used to have a very good selection, considering it is a Japanese Karaoke place that also doubles with English stuff - they had at least a few songs for most of the major bands. They seem to have updated their computer systems recently though and most of the good stuff has disappeared from their library.

I had a dream this morning that I was at some music festival and my brother was tut-tutting because LT hopped off the stage into the crowd and started handing out bags of weed. Drugs are bad, mmmkay?

HAHA! Considering I've never done any kind of illegal drugs in my life, it's likely I was just trying to get rid of them because I don't want them! :p

Are there any death/grind cover bands going around? It'd be hella fun to be in one, but I'd settle for going to watch.
