Was actually pointed towards this album by a fellow forum member after hearing some of Psycroptics newer stuff, and I totally love the piss out of their older stuff way better.

Anyway, does anyone have any info (especially on guitars) about the production of this?

Guitars are so super tight and articulate, yet not over gained or over saturated. I can come sort of close to that tone on my Mark IV but still can't seem to get the super tight, super defined sound. I heard the newer album is Mesa Tiaxis but I feel its nowhere near as brutal as the older material.

I know Joe has used Mesa stuff a lot but I thiiiink I remember seeing studio pics on their old website around the time that album came out and it being a Marshall DSL or something.

So many good riffs and the production has it's charm

I think a lot of it comes from just being the tightest guitar player on the fucking planet.

It's got that same growl that Nile's ITDS has, so I'm inclined to believe that it's a DSL.
