It's obvious that there are people who don't think this if they don't put it first. You basically said 'Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but yours is wrong if you don't agree with me' That only applies when people disagree with me
On the eve of the worldwide release of Amon Amarth's tenth studio album, Jomsviking, I thought it would be fitting to bring back everyone's favorite subject. Which is Amon Amarth's best album. I've put in a good deal of time listening and thinking about my list but in the end it is just one man's opinion. I hope what you see below makes you happy. You should all be looking forward to tomorrow and the upcoming tour. Amon Amarth is here to stay for a while longer. 1. With Oden on Our Side (hangs on as the best album but not by much) 2. Jomsviking (yes, it is that good!) 3. Twilight of the Thunder God 4. Versus the World (basically a tie with Twilight) 5. Once Sent from the Golden Hall 6. The Crusher 7. Surtur Rising 8. Deceiver of the Gods 9. Fate of Norns 10. The Avenger

I find the newers albums tend to have a more 'commercial' sound and arrangements so to speak, althought they all pretty much still kick ass I'm more of a fan of their earlier work. It's a shame that they almost don't play any thing from their first 4-5 records live anymore 1. Versus The World 2. With Oden On Our Side 3. The Crusher 4. The Avenger 5. Twilight Of The Thunder God 6. Fate Of Norns 7. Once Send From The Golden Hall 8. Sorrow Through The Nine World 9. Surtur Rising 10. Deceiver Of The Gods 11. Jomsviking Cheers ! PowerMaiden

This is really hard to do because the albums are so goddamn samey. 'Jomsviking' is probably a really good album but we've heard it all before and it's hard to get excited about the same old stuff. They need to change direction and get a bit of spark back. Although they're more popular than ever, so what do I know?
After more than a year jomsviking has to sit right towards the top of the pile of albums released. Much better than the average surtur rising and a.notch above deceiver of the gods.
