Has anyone heard of this band? I just randomly stumbled upon them reading some reviews of albums from last year and this band was name dropped in one of them. Not expecting much, I dug further and wow. Not really sure how many on this board care about "Prog rock" or whatever with bands like Tool, Leprous, Porcupine Tree, and even a little Pink Floyd, but Riverside's Anno Domini High Definiton is blowing my mind right now. At times the vocalist kind of sounds like a strange combination of Hansi Kursch and the vocalist from Amorphis.

This is the kind of music Opeth should have tried to make if they were adamant about going total prog and dropping all death elements.

Riverside are Brilliant. I dig all of their albums. You should check out there Album 'Shrine of New Generation Slaves'. I came out in 2013. Brilliant! Their first 3 discs was a trilogy, which are killer as well. IMHO you can't go wrong with any of their discs.

These guys have been on my "bands to check out" list for years but I've never given them the chance until now. Pretty good...will explore further. Thanks for posting.
