A Chicago thread, Glenn's favorites lol..

I think if I remember the original topic of this yeah there are quite a few bands in the city most have been mentioned but here are a couple that missed the thread.

    Rival, District 97, Something Beautiful

Food you cant go wrong with any of the big pizza places here but if your wanting some awesome thin crust you have to have Barnabies. Now Pizza isnt the only good food in the city you have to get a Beef sandwich, Al's Beef and Max's Beef on Western and Peterson. Then when your having that you should wash it down with some of Chicago's best brewed beers, Half Acre, Goose Island and Metropolis.

Technically I live in Wisconsin, but being 15 minutes from the border, I go to just as many shows in IL as I do in WI.

So uuhhhhh about that gig on July 30th, it's been changed to Friday, July 29th. :/ Apparently, some band said "you either give us the date, or we'll go somewhere else", so they forced Dame-Nation to move the event, literally without asking the promoter.

    Hurraaaaaaaaay...........

Not really. The thread wants to know who is from IL. Most of the IL folks on this board are from Chicago. When other IL folks ask about Chicago food, we're happy to oblige. :p

    Details!! :yell:

You're probably right, but still. I'm not cool with venues that move gigs like that. If a date is booked, it's booked! Especially when that gig is being advertised so much. I had several friends that needed refunds because they can't make the gig, anymore. That really sucks for them, and the show.

yes, but from a clubs point of view....they will make more money at COC than the Damenation show. With just beer sales alone they will be making some big money.
