For those of us who aren't on Facebook, you may not have heard that Bucko passed away tonight due to aggressive brain tumours. Very sad news. Bucko was a regular face at Dungeon and LORD gigs for years and a really good mate to all of us in the band. It'll be weird not seeing him at shows, and he'll be sorely missed. So let's hear it for an absolute top guy. Cheers, mate - you were a true legend. RIP, Bucko!
Bucko was a great bloke. Always had time to chat and say hi when he walked by. Sad loss for the scene.
*moved to main forum* Bucko was a good friend to a lot of us here on the forum. This thread deserves to be in the main section.
Wow! I didn't see that coming. I sadly didn't get to know Bucko in person, only through these forums. However, he was a great guy. May he rest in peace.
No way Again I never had the honour of meeting Bucko personally, but always valued his contributions to the forum here. Rest in Peace buddy. Sincerest best wishes and positive karma to his family and friends
It's always a bit strange to hear that somebody you know online has died. My condolences to his family and friends.
Oh, man. Thanks Bucko for all the great thoughts and comments you posted on the forum. Thanks also for your unwavering support of my favorite band. As always what sucks the most is not thinking about saying these things when the person they are aimed at is still alive. RIP, and my best wishes to friends and family.
i just heard the news from Sandra this morning. I met Bucko online through the Dungeon Forum about 12 years ago and then in person at one of the Metal for the Brain and became good friends through our love of Heavy Metal and beer (although i'm sober these days) and attended many concerts in Canberra and Sydney and also met up with him and Sandra in Japan to see Lord play in 2010. i will miss him! i will be heading to the funeral on Wednesday. i don't know the exact details yet but it is 2pm in canberra
One of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet. I don't think any one could say a bad word about him. He stood out like a sore thumb at gigs as that grey haired office worker with a Sabbath shirt on. Such a loss.
Only met him once or twice in person over the years but seemed a great dude and really passionate about his metal. RIP.
Want to thank Andy, Tim and the other boys in Lord for their tribute last night to Bucko. Playing all the classics that he loved so much. Had plenty if people at the Basement raising glasses to him as well.
