    Agree with everyone here. Sleepytime are ace. They have a 70s King Crimson vibe to them (maybe it's the electirc violin and dirty bass tones).

    They sometimes wear dresses too.

    With that said..

    Spectacular band, saw them play Fat Cats in Houston sometime in 2006. Carla (vocals/violin) also plays violin in a band called 2 foot yard (http://www.myspace.com/2footyard). I suggest this band if you like the more subdued side of Sleepytime and especially if you love Carla's vocals.

    Fascinating music by both bands.
