Not sure if they cancelled the whole Nevemore / Sx tour or just Orlando.

I hope not the whole tour. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.

I just looked on enterthevault and Soilwork is indeed removed from the billing of the Symphony X tour. This is making me a supremely sad panda.

Makes me sad too, because now SyX is the only band on that lineup that I have any interest in seeing. (Sorry, just can't get into Nevermore)

Edit: Not that I could have gone anyways. I have another show I will be at that evening. Damn, it means that I probably haven't seen them since they toured for The Odyssey. Why do my favorite bands always find conflicts!

This sucks. While I enjoy Symphony X, I like Soilwork and Nevermore much more. It'll still be a great show, just bummed Soilwork won't be a part of it. Wonder why they pulled out?

Does this mean Symphony X will Play longer than 10 songs???
Or Nevermore will play a little longer?
It still is a Killer Lineup!
And it is the week after Accept/Sabatton at the Troc in Philly!

I feel bad for those of you who got tickets expecting Soilwork, but for me this might actually persuade me to go. Never been able to get into them and the one time I did see them live it was torturous. Just not my cup of tea.

    Hot, off-the-oven Press Release:

SOILWORK FORCED TO CANCEL UPCOMING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Swedish modern metallers SOILWORK - who were originally scheduled to head out this April & May supporting SYMPHONY X - have regretfully been forced to cancel their participation on this upcoming North American tour.

Drummer Dirk Verbeuren has issued the following statement:

“Due to recurring issues with a herniated disc in his lower back requiring a prolonged period of resting and healing, our guitarist Peter Wichers is forced to sit out this spring’s North American tour with Symphony X and Nevermore. We did consider hiring a fill-in guitar player, but we’ve decided to stick together as a band and out of respect for our fans, to cancel our participation in the tour. Our apologies to those of you who were hoping to see us. If all goes well, Peter should be healed and ready to hit the road in time for the summer festivals.”

Debuting at #88 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart the week after its July 2010 release, The Panic Broadcast secured SOILWORK’s highest-charting record in the history of the band and marked the return of original guitarist, songwriter & producer Peter Wichers, whose last album appearance was in 2005.

View Peter’s interview & guitar lesson with Guitar World magazine here.
