Some nice jazz fusion. Guthrie Govan always kicks my ass because he's such a smooth guitarist. That slap bass/guitar unison bit at the start is as slippery as a wonderful slippery thing. And the name is the best innuendo I've ever seen.

I've always overlooked this great masterpiece. What a song. I don't even care it's not Bruce singing, what's more, I reckon the vocals here are better than some appearances by Bruce.

Damn that's a really good song. I'll have to give the whole album a listen some time.

Darkthrone are amazing. I can't help but think that The Underground Resistance is a slight parody of the NWOBHM bands, but it's a fantastic record anyway. Difficult for me to take seriously, but still a lot of fun.

That's definitely a personal problem of yours, because the band are 100% serious about this stuff and I don't look at it as a parody in any way. If anything I look back at their black metal music as the silly parody these days, with all the stupid make-up.

I dunno, they've always stood out as one of the less serious bands in the black metal scene. Fenriz is a much less serious guy than others in the scene. I'm not saying it's a comedy metal album either, it's just not as dark and evil sounding as a lot of their other stuff. The vocals are a bit cartoonish and over the top at some points on the album, which is what makes me think they're not taking themselves too seriously.
I also don't understand how it's my problem when it's no one's problem; I still like the album, so what's wrong with that?

No I mean it's a personal problem of your perception that they sound like a NWOBHM parody or whatever. Because I don't believe that's what they are.

Okay, but that's not a problem then. Perception isn't a problem.

It's your perception that perception isn't a problem.
