Definately agree on the new Blackfield and Rumskib cds. If anyone hasn't heard of Rumskib, definately check 'em out. Seriously, they're like the new My Bloody Valentine. I'm not too crazy about the new PT though; it's not that I didn't like the new PT, it's just that I don't see it making my top 10 of the year. Sometimes, I just wish they'd release something in the vein of Signify (well, in the vein of Waiting Phase One, Sever, Every Home Is Wired, and Dark Matter).

I'm very disspointed in the pattonator, and his fantomas shananagins on the new tomahawk. This isn't god damn fantomas for a good reason. Write some god damn lyrics mike! Great music though, but only one all around awesome sauce song called "cradle song."

Probably the best album this year for me is Finntroll - Ur Jordens Djup

It is much darker and 'real' than the previous albums, and quite frankly, I'm spellbound.

I've also really enjoyed the new Paradise Lost, Mayhem, and Marduk, although I need to hear all three of these classics a little more.

Well, the demo version of the Ahab album was from last year, but the more domestic (150 copies instead of 30...haha) vinyl version was released this year.

And Funeral's latest was released last year, but only in Norway -- everywhere else, it was released at the beginning of 2007. I figured it was worth mentioning, especially considering the quality of the album, and that it was talked about so little in the context of 2006 because of the time and limited locale of its release that year.

Did anybody mention Antimatter's "Leaving Eden" so far?

I hear that album in the morning, afternoon, evening. If I could at night while sleeping I would. I love it!
