That IXXI album was a huge disappointment imo.

After seeing them (Porcupine Tree that is) live yesterday, Fear Of A Blank Planet stands even more solidly on the no. 1 spot, unbelievably great show.

It was in Amsterdam (Melkweg), but they played in Eindhoven (Effenaar) on Tuesday. Both shows were sold out, but I bought my ticket already days after the pre-sales started.

BTW, rumour has it that PT will play the Heineken Music Hall in November or December.. It's great to see such a great band getting recognised, but I do think they require a more intimate environment than the HMH..

And yes, the new Neurosis is great! "To The Wind" @ 2:50 = one of the most bad ass riffs ever.

Wow, you're really gay for Porcupine Tree. Quite frankly, I don't get the fascination. They're an *ok* prog band, but nothing I would pee my purple panties over.

Yes, this Amorphis album is fucking awesome...great vocal performance and amazing variety in the music, from melodic death to acoustic folk!
