    For me...

It was a mental year. Groan did well... then we had our own rock n roll story which includes a wrecked Ferrari, mental institutes and vast amounts of abuse.

I moved into a house with my friends and yet again somebody else went mental. So I got a new house and some amazing new house mates. Met loads of new people. Been partying all over the country at raves and some amazing club nights and discovered a love for electronic music.

Only for that to come to a head with being held at knife point by a new house mate who I got who went insane and is now comfortably locked away.

Deadlines all met and still through the rough there have been plenty parties. I'm going home to the parents for Christmas and new year and to see my old best mates to tear the fuck out of our home town n to have a right laugh.

2012 is shaping up to be a mental one with getting booked to do my acid house set at various places, and I'm even throwing a rave of my own. So cue some mental times and police troubles next year... but it's all worth it for the music!

How was 2011 guys? Hope it's been a gooden and I hope 2012 is awesome for everybody (I'm holding out for a 3rd summer of love haha). Much love to ye all

It was a good year for the band... we went from being a local band who no-one had heard of to a band signed to an idependent label with an album coming out who have played with many of the other bands from around the country on the underground thrash scene, and with fun prospects for next year too. So I'm pleased with that.

It's also been a good year for my football shirt collection... I have bought 91 so far since the start of January.

I also followed Iron Maiden on tour which culminated in me being backstage for the the 2 sold-out tour-ending shows at the O2, meeting most of the band, getting to go in Nicko's warm-up room and got to both after-show parties where we sat at Nicko's table in front of his ice-bucket of champagne having him pour us Jagermeister while fit girls served us hotdogs... Absolute win of gargantuan proportion and the biggest treat in the world for a fanboy like me. Also saw them in Sweden which is just the greatest place to see a metal band in the entire world, full of beautiful women and friendly people who totally love metal. And went to Bloodstock and saw some of my favourite bands there aswell, so that was also a win.

On the job front, it's been rubbish; I really hate mine at the moment. But had an interview yesterday which went ok so hopefully there'll be some good news by the end of the year too... fingers crossed.

On the sex front, non-existent. Better luck next year.

Saw Iron Maiden and Dream Theater in April and October respectively, other than that? Pretty shitty.

    This x364 days.

The only non-rubbish day was August 6th because of Kalmah, Ihsahn, Devin Townsend and Morbid Angel at Vagos Open Air.

    A diamond amidst the shit.

Sounds like you're a magnet for insane people. Your post is one of the reasons why I haven't taken in a roommate. I've got an extra bedroom in a fairly nice condo but I would rather pay the rent myself and have an extra room than deal with someones crazy bullshit.

Pretty good year. I'm still alive and I am gainfully employed so I am doing better than a lot of people. Dated a few different women, but nothing really happened so the love life situation is disappointing. I've lost 30 pounds since March of 2010. I am up to running 5 miles which would have been impossible when I started living healthier back in March of 2010. If I could cut soda out of my diet I could probably lose the last 10 lbs that I've been battling since October.

Went back home to Indiana and celebrated Independence Day properly with the family which was fun. Much better than getting drunk and hanging out in a casino which is what I had done the previous few years.

Saw a shitload of great metal concerts. Highlights were seeing Havok, Warbringer and Bonded by Blood twice.(Not all in the same concert) Got to see Havok at a tiny dive bar with about 20 people in attendance and got the guys to sign my Time is Up cd booklet. Other good shows were Diamond Head, Saxon and Judas Priest. Biggest let down was seeing Paul Di'Anno last January. He doesn't have the vocals to sing the old Maiden songs even half way decently. I walked out of the venue while he was butchering "Phantom of the Opera".

    Goals for 2012:
    1) Increase running stamina and be able to run 10 miles by June of 2012.
    2) Improve Social Life
    3) Start a Masters program. I've talking about this years and I am losing money by not doing it. I'm thinking either Speech Therapist or Library Science - something that will get me out of the classroom.
    4) Win megabucks; buy and reopen the Huntridge Theater; start promoting metal shows and one day put on Thrashaggedon: A three day thrash metal fest featuring great bands such as Evile, Vektor, Havok and Coroner.:worship:

The last one is really a dream.

This year I got back together with the girl I had loved for 5 years.
Then she ended it and I thought the world was over.. till I realized, HOLY FUCK I AM AWESOME.
I'm awesome, most people are awesome and the world is beautiful.
Strange how the greatest things come from the worst situations.
So, what looked like the worst year of my life has turned out to be the best.
I'm always positive and helpful and it feels great. Makes me realize that those two years I spent being negative were a waste and I never want to waste time ever again.
The only bad part about this is that when I meet people that are constantly negative and do horrible things for attention drive me insane.
Besides that, this year has been great.

Got done with all of my Navy training, went to Pearl Harbor, lost my virginity, had two girlfriends over the course of 6 months, both lasted two and a half months, both relationships sucked. My relationship with my brother greatly improved, he got married. I started drinking. Smoke a shitton of cigarettes.

Becoming a Freemason was really the highlight of my year though :)

still together with my girlfriend. her parents aren't such bitches anymore (not that they are awesome now) but there's an improvement. i also did well at school, but few weeks ago i started to hesitate if i wanted to continue with my study. but i decided to continue. eeeehm. gig-wise it wasn't that much. i've seen Children of Bodom and Amon Amarth but that's it but next year will already be better: Evile 26th January and Dream Theater February 1st and then in June/July Graspop Metal Meeting Festival where i'll see Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Ensiferum, Sabaton, Hatebreed and Lamb of God so far.

for 2012 i'll try to finish my 2nd schoolyear and of course i'll stay with my girlfriend. i'm not going to bother to say that i'll quit smoking because i'll fail anyway  I really can't wait for Evile and Dream Theater.

    That's it i think

edit: oh, and i want to find a really cool internship

I realised that things other than metal are great too. Hence a great year.

Also Devin Townsend playing Deconstruction live. Holy shite balls that was amazing, I almost cried.
And those 2 records. And getting a 7 string.
