Yes electronica is awesome when done well, the darker/weirder the better imo. Check out Scorn (Mick Harris' post-Napalm Death project), Amon Tobin, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares, SiBegg, Tipper, Krumelur.

I'm a huge fan of Infected Mushroom and Shpongle, and listen to Paul van Dyk and VNV Nation to a lesser extent. I consider VNV Nation the best of those, but they're a little dark for me to want to listen to regularly.

There's probably a ton of other electronic artists out there that I'd love, but I haven't explored the genre for shit yet.

I'll definitely check this out at some point, but I'm presently enthralled in my first listen of Dead or Alive's Youthquake. o_O

I've really been into "Rabbit in the Moon", "Fat Boy Slim", "Josh Wink" & other trance artists lately. It's really been a genre that I've been getting back into a lot lately...

Also, not quite 100% sure how to categorize this album, but "Karma" by Delerium has been my favorite album for the past month. I haven't been able to stop listening to it. They're the original guys who did that song "Silence" which features Sarah McLaughlin on vocals. That's such an amazing song. It gives me goosbumps every time I hear it. To all the fools who tried to remix/cover that song = EPIC FAIL

Nice trippy sound. Seems to be lacking in melody, whether that was intentional or not. It's cool that your track was selected as the opener for the album.

As far as this stuff goes, I have very little but one band I seem to enjoy immensely is Syrian. Not sure how to categorize them. Spacey dance...

Cheers man. Yeah the lack of melody is intentional. I much prefer interesting sounds & rhythms over strong melody in psytrance.
