I got wood after seeing that trailer. To me as a kid, The Hobbit > LotR.

Isn't it amazing what makeup and computer special effects can do to a person's face? Both Cate Blanchett and Ian McKellen look older, but definitely not 6-10 years older. Although I guess it still stands out more just because this is all supposed to take place before Fellowship.

Same here, but I've been very interested in both, and you know neither will disappoint.

I also enjoyed The Hobbit more than Lord of The Rings. Dwarf Song was chilling.

My only complaint is that Thoren Oakenshield doesn't have a damn beard.

Thorin does need that beard, I agree. I am so pumped for the film and i have to wait another year. They did the same thing with the LOTR series, as they released each movie in the theater a year apart.

The big three films of 2012 are beyond tantalizing. The Hobbit, The Dark Knight Rises, and the Alien prequel of sorts, Prometheus.
