dax is the truth
Regardless of the fact that it is cult music ( and yes, I understand the lyrics to this particular piece) it is beautifully interpreted. Maybe I like it even more especially because I don't understand the language to the letter, thus being somewhat free of the constriction of the lyrics.
In the words of George Carlin, the only good thing that came out of religion was the music.
I am Greek so I understand these "chants".
I was raised by overly religious parents, so
when I was growing up I was subjected to this stuff every Sunday morning.
some of the church choirs I heard were just flat out amazing.

Ooooh, Bones of Baby Dolls. Good one, neal!!!!! I used to love that song so much...I used to walk around in South Korea with my headphones on listening to it in the middle of the winter on my way out the front gate to downtown Songtan.
I always think this song is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard <3
and this one...
Fiddler on the Green is fucking amazing.
I love this song. The album version is killer too.
From Mr. Thal about the meaning of the lyrics:
" Family asked me once if I could write a few words, which they could read during the ceremony. And this inspired me to writing Dash, which means just dash. On the tombstone there's the date of birth, a 'dash' and the date of death. When ya think about it, that dash marks a person's whole life. All in this small line. When you look on the tombstone your eye usually concentrates on the dates. And this small line, which is so important for the given person, is imperceptible. So I wrote a song about this. Because in total we are just a dash. And we can hope that in the end when people are looking at our grave, when they see the dash, they remember many good and pleasant things.
I'm going to see him tomorrow , I should be home by Wednesday if Axl on time...

Bloody Hell! Haven't heard Dead Can Dance since the eighties!
I dig the chick harmonies and how each instrument part compliments the others, even if it's something simple!
