Started the Expanse again. Into season 2.
So damn good!
Started watching After Life, a 6 part comedy series with Ricky Gervias the other night.
Also started watching The Neighborhood with Cedric the Entertainer.
Started watching the Wu Tang series on Hulu last night, I dig it.
El Camino was "okay". Basically coasts on Breaking Bad's excellent characterization for 2 hours, stringing together encounters and flashbacks with supporting characters with a paper-thin plot. Solid but doesn't really find a strong raison d'être like Better Call Saul did. Oh well, 2/3 masterpieces isn't bad.
Nicolas Winding Refn Sets ‘Maniac Cop’ Series With HBO, Canal Plus
Finished Peaky Blinders newest season. Pretty good, but they need to hit the brakes on these slo-mo scenes...turned 50 min episodes into 60 min.
R.I.P. Robert Forster.
El Camino was enjoyable but I have no idea why it needed to exist.
Finished it myself, yeah it didn't really need to exist. All it did was take what was vague and pointlessly make it concrete. Gotta admit though I enjoyed it, probably just because I'm nostalgic for Breaking Bad. Might rewatch it soon, based mostly on watching this.
So you guys are on about the same page as me. Having thought about it more, I wish it would've dared to stand on its own legs more. I was invested in Jesse's story and I wish it hadn't been constantly interrupted by flashbacks.
re-watched BB like a month ago, really downhill after time. angsty white fight club male and really bad criminality made it significantly worse in a re-watch
Oh yeah, I hate that in a show.
this could be awesome
Anyone see watchmen? Didn't know my boy Damon wrote that
i'm gonna wait till the season's over and binge-watch season 1
I'm surprisingly excited about considering I basically gave up watching GoT after the fourth season. Apparently I don't learn.
Actually purchased an aerial cord today so will have a functioning television in my house for the first time in several years. Although, tbf, i only really plan to watch sport for the most part.
Jimmy's going to be late to work everyday from now on. He'll blame traffic but it will be because he can't leave home before Peppa Pig finishes.
Look at this bogan, did you sell your TV for a pair of Nikes?
