lol, and every anti-Bush statement isn't?
So that's why people come to the United States to get critical surgeries and treatments?
The standard of healthcare available to those who can afford it doesn't really alleviate how shit it is that people who actually contribute can't have it.
Well, maybe that person should have worked a little harder? Plus why is it fair that someone who works hard for his money should have to pay for someone else's healthcare when that person does nothing to contribute to society anyways?
I was giving the example of someone who does contribute to society anyway, so I'm not even going to answer that. What I'm saying is that that person DID pay taxes, that went towards roads, defence etc for everyone else, but when he needs healthcare, he can't have it. I think that's pretty shit.
i like your little fairytale world where you can just choose any job with all the benefits in the world..
Not to mention where people who make less money than you don't work hard enough.
I can't believe poor people haven't figured out that they would stop being poor if they just worked harder. You'd think they would've tried that by now
I love this forum.
You are dead wrong bud.
Do you really think the richest men in the world are also the hardest working men in the world?
I used to work in a warehouse for years and I worked incredibly hard to the point of complete physical exhaustion at times...what did I get? Barely enough money for rent
Other people make a few phone calls, sip on some coffee, correct their tie and cash over 100k a year..why? Because they went to Harvard on their rich parents money..
Stop and think about what you say, in this country, working hard has very little to do with how much money you make. I've lived in a socialist country (Sweden) for a big part of my life, and I can tell you it works amazingly well, everyone was middle class and above. Great comfortabe life, an ensured "American Dream" no matter what job you have..
BTW just out of curiosity cookie, how old are you? and what jobs (if any) have you had?
Sarcasm detector is off
Some of what is overlooked is not how much a person makes, but how they spend their money. I would suggest that the majority of people on the low income end make their situation worse with piss poor money management.
*cough* Spending tax! *cough*
I could watch that all fucking day. Charlie is hilarious.
What's it off?
It's a show called It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. It's great.
