I gave those Wormed samples a listen too. They'd be a pretty sweet band if they actually had some melodies to accompany their awesome drumwork. Even if it were ugly ones like Morbid Angel has.

They do have melodies. You're not listening closely enough.

Just received my Atrocious Abnormality preorder today. I've only made it about halfway through so far, but it is an excellent debut.

Yeah, I was impressed by their sample tracks on myspace. It's hard to think of it as a debut though, because it is made up of DM vets.

Well after lending a friend down the hall my two Dissection albums, he's returned the favor by lending me a few albums I'd like to try out:

    Sleep - Jerusalem
    SunnO))) - Black One
    SunnO))) & Boris - Altar

    Should be an interesting experience.

Tell me how you like BlackOne and Alter. Both are among some of my top 20 records.

Jerusalem and its reworking Dopesmoker are veritably brilliant albums. I was disappointed in Black One but you may enjoy it more than I did.

Disappointed? Really? I found really good. It was time they changed it up a bit.
