Yeah - each band plays twice winmar. Most cases they will be two COMPLETELY different sets. Each band will do their own thing but some things I know for certain are:

    - the two saxon shows will be one show playing the entire Wheels of Steel album, the other Strong Arm of the Law;
    - testament will do a similar thing with their first two albums
    - Iced earth will be playing shows consisting of two dozen "fan favourites"

    Makes it incredible value!!

Miami is awesome - lot of similarities to brisbane really!

Well the dates have been set for 70,000 Tons of Metal 2012!!

    January 23rd to the 27th:

    http://70000tons.com/home.htm

Would *LOVE* to do it again but doubtful :( Still, will probably reserve a cabin (can cancel up to 90 days out without incurring any penalty)

With KAMELOT, THERION, and NIGHTWISH already strongly rumoured to be on board I'd love to go again!!!

    Yeah thats correct Blitz.

This is from this year's cruise Terms and Conditions:

Days to Departure Charges Per Person
    90+ No charges
    89-60 25% of total price
    59-30 50% of total price
    29 or less No refund

So in other words, if you cancelled on or before 24th October, you would get a full refund.

More details trickled out this morning - its sailing from Miami to the CAYMAN ISLANDS, rather than Mexico.

Happy about that - Cozumel Mexico was a bit of a dive :p

We stayed at the Lost Camel, drove around Uluru a bit, went up to it and sat on the lower section of the rock, went for a bit of a walk, also drove to and walked up to the Olgas (didn't have too much time) which is just as impressive.

Here's a pic of the full moon over Uluru last night.

    I'm now in Cairns.

Weather's been a bit shit up here lately, still better than down south, but I hope you're enjoying yourself.

Yeah it was ok. It was showery in Cairns but just an hour away by ferry on the island was much sunnier, the showers came along overnight and were short lived.

Taking advantage of every opportunity, making up for a lack of travel in my earlier years.
