I'm grading exams right now for the philosophy of science course that I'm a teaching assistant for. I've been making separate piles according to what letter grade I would be likely to assign for each of them. There is already a large pile of "lower than a B" exams, and a rather small pile of "good job, you get an A" exams. This is an interesting experience and it's definitely making me realize how much more I know about this subject than these kids, which is a nice way to put things in perspective because I constantly feel like I need to know a whole lot more. It's actually a pleasure to read the A-level exams. I've even managed to put some (female) faces to some (female) names and I have to admit that I am developing a slight crush on these intelligent females.
