    Really? I thought V was your favorite. All of these are rather meh to me.

    Looks like Ken's list is the closest to mine, except I have Egypt instead of Rediscovery, but both songs are on the same level to me. If I had to add one more song to my list it would be Rediscovery.

    I don't think being soft makes something progressive. I don't see why The Sacrifice would be considered one of the "progressive" songs when it's just a simple ballad.

    Anyway I disagree as to me every album they've done (minus the debut) contributes at least one progressive or epic song that's among their absolute best.

    Well, here's something LePond said in an interview recently:

    Notice how he claims we're going to start writing in the summer. Maybe an indication that there will be more of a group effort on the next one?

    Those picks were obviously the worst songs from each previous album minus V.

    Top 5:

    Divine Wings of Tragedy
    The Odyssey
    Communion and the Oracle
    Through the Looking Glass
    Paradise Lost (the song which really got me into SX; I had heard Of Sins and Shadows & In the Dragon's Den before, but they didn't really strike me)

    5 songs are too little for a top list, though. A top 10 list is more appropiate. The 5 songs following closely behind the top 5 are;

    The Accolade
    Accolade II
    Rediscovery (pt. I & II)
    Church of the Machine
    Awakenings

    Gosh, and still I haven't mentioned songs such as Edge of Forever, Egypt, Candlelight, Orion, Revelation, When All is Lost, and Reign in Madness....

    And, just to make it complete; favorite shorter songs;

    Frontiers
    Evolution
    Fallen
    A Winter's Dream (I & II)
    A Fool's Paradise

    Odyssey and When all is Lost, I'll agree with. The other three? WTF.

    The Odyssey is the only one on that list that is in the top 20 for me, but people's opinions are different.
