Has anybody seen a place that has copies at the moment? In the metal-rules forum (where the few replies seem happy about it), comments have been made about the difficulty of getting the album. My usual sources don't have it, or won't have any new copies for almost a month. So if you find any places, let me know.
I paid about $23 for it the week it came out, and that was a DISCOUNT. But prices here are outrageous.
Well I just found one of questionable integrity on eBay (but isn't everything on eBay of questionable integrity?). If anyone can wait on it, I will report back the quality.
I saw the price at PPVII and immediately walked away from it. It was just too much money. An hour later, I bought the CD there . . . Steve in Philly
If I would've seen it there, I know I would've done the same Steve, I can't blame ya at all for that decision. BTW, any initial thoughts? I think it has some really great tracks, but a little too much slow down at times ruins the momentum. All in all though, a very solid release, and my personal favorite since Invictus. Jason
It's $9.99 @ NuclearHell including shipping. So is Heed "The Call" if anyone is still looking for that CD.
That store looks UNREAL. Edit: Seriously. Unreal. Most things under $10, free shipping worldwide? Has anybody used them before?
The ebay person who I bought it from, is actually with Nuclear Hell. I got a copy of Sabaton - Primo Victoria a few weeks ago from them.... and it was perfect. No sign of any funny business. It was a copy from Eastern Europe.... so take that for what its worth.
They sell through their own store and as a "Buy it now" eBay store. I've bought a lot from them, and never had a problem. They are UK based so it takes a little longer to recieve orders, but you can save a lot. Also you're likely to get the European or Eastern Europe version. I figure they're way too open and public to be bootleging. They'd be caught in 10 seconds flat.
This is a great album. The concept is interesting (read the materials in the booklet on the concept before listening to it). Musically its very good. Some don't like the quality of the sound, but musically this album is excellent. The quality of the sound didn't bother me at all. I liked it. I'll be listening to this one a lot.
It's not bad as far as concepts and lyrics etc., but the mix is terrible. The keys are way too prominent and the guitars subdued.
The mix is subpar, but not to such an extant that it detracts from enjoying the music (it's not like Kelly Grey produced it). That said, I find it curious that DeFeis' vocals lower in the mix than I would expect. It makes me wonder if age has taken its toll on his voice. As for the music itself, the first five/six tracks are superb. After that, the disc falls off a cliff. Zod
Tracks 7, 9 and 11 have merit, but I'll absolutely agree that the first half is better than the second by leaps and bounds. Jason
