What are ways I can decouple speakers? Will putting a shoe box under my speakers work?

Or cut some pieces out of a mat that´s supposed to carry a washing machine. My subwoofer sits on a few slices, and is completely decoupled from the floor

can vouch for the isoacoustics stands, work very well and not too expensive.
