Real men down kegs of absinthe and Polish vodka straight from the barrel.
Ugh, I'll be a fake man, thanks.
Only the French could concoct a liquor as rat-like and putrid as absinthe. I'll admit, it looks cool though.
I've tried absinthe before. I'm not sure if there are different kinds that taste differently, but the absinthe I tried tasted like licorice - not as strong as Jäger, but still noticeably licorice-y. Not my thing.
Due to the ingredients, there's nearly always something of a licorice quality to it. But, if you're in search of something that'll get you blitzed faster than even tequila...
That is true. Vile stuff.
About 190 proof or something like that, yeah.
Been drinking on some Larceny and mostly done with the Laphroaig. Still haven't found a Bourbon I really enjoy yet.
I still have almost 1/2 a large bottle of Larceny from the wedding reception. drank some lastnight Buffalo Trace left too
Served the old fashioned way with sugar and water it's not bad. I'd recommend a chaser though depending on how much water. Taking shots of absinthe is a bad idea
I've seen people drink it that way in the movies (of course). Have to give it a shot sometime.
Has anyone here ever tried Jeppson's Malort? That's some gross shit.
Nice. A buddy of mine gave me this..
The 12 year is solid, so I bet that's great.
And for the record, nothing beats a night of good absinthe. Trouble is, it's hard to find good absinthe outside of bars designated for it.
i have a 20+ year old unopened bottle of Chivas 18 stashed somewhere.
Did anyone see this news about a world record auction price for bottle of whisky?
I just realized that bourbon on the rocks is my thing. I had Knob Creek and Bulleit tonight on the rocks, and for me it's way more enjoyable than neat. I appreciate good whiskey cocktails as well, but if i'm going plain gimme them rocks!
drink them enough and you'll definitely go back to neat. I personally dont like watering down my whiskey. I never liked it on the rocks but sometimes i would add like a drop or two of water, but i dont even do that anymore.
