Will an 8 core Nehalem mac pro run 10.8?

    NI has pretty much twisted my arm to upgrade my mac pro. I don't want a fucking brand new one and can't afford it.

    Since the Nehalem 8 cores seem to be right under a grand used I was thinking that route.

    But I need at minimum to install 10.8 on this machine.


    Help me out bros.

    Yep... the only mac pros that are hobbled are those that don't properly support a 64 bit EFI, which is the Mac-pro 1,1 and 1,2 which are the 2006 machines.
