Did anyone see John Safran's Speaking In Tongues?

It revealed that the Socceroos won because John Safran went to the Witch Doctors and had the curse on Aus. football lifted.

Did anyone see that episode where he had the Witch Doctor smear chicken blood on him, etc. in the football stadium?

Who cares what happened we won. We will be in Germany, its still very fukin exciting!!! I hope the Australia and Croatia are not in the same group, but if they are I hope they both go through to the next round and both teams meet again in the semis. That would truley be an awesome World CUp for me.

Altho id be stuck with the decision of which team to go for. I think id be a nutral (spelling) viewer.

Communist and socialists are left wing steven.

Right wing in the fact that croatians are the kind of people that judge everyone and everything by how croatian it is. I look at the 23 man Socceroo squad and I see 23 Australian names, not 9 english names, 6 croatian names etc etc.

It's rubbish and it's croats who do it more than any nationality, you guys are seriously the most racist and nationalistic group of people since nazi germany.

To me Aus. names are those like Kanahooka, Warragamba, Parramatta, Wagga Wagga, etc.

The Socceroos are Australians but their surnames aren't Australian.

In a similar fashion 'Sabotage' is a French word though you find it in the English dictionary.

Savatage is a combination of Avatar (Jon Oliva's earlier band) and the word Savage.

I don't particularly like those Croatians. You are generalising and probably have encountered a lot of those types.

Racism is racism, I don't see how anyone can be more racist than anyone else or most racist.
Saying that is like saying someone is more pregnant - you're either pregnant or not.

Im croatian and i understand how u come about with that opinion. But it doesn't affect me as im not one of them who is all croatian and fuck australia. They're the australian team, but theres no harm in saying that they are croatian, or have croatian backgrounds. Its just something for fans to have in common with the player. Just like how the greeks love greek players, nothign wrong with it. I have croatian heritage, but i must say, on his day, kewell is the king. Schwarzer rocks to. And both of them arent croatian.

Just my opinion of course but Soccer = Sport = My total disinterest.

Just like religion, sport just seems to cause too many bullshit arguements for no reason like my team is better than yours etc etc etc...
Why do sport fans act like they just won a game themselves when they basically just sit on their arses? "We Won! We Won!!!!!" ummm, excuse me didn't you just sit down and drink beer and eat potato chips while watching TV?hahaha. :tickled:

    Next thread please.

Yeah I wonder that sometimse too, but the best answer I could think of is for International games, they are representing your country so you obviosly cheer em on. It would be quite boring without the crowd. But either way for you its boring I spose lol.

Yeah id agree it starts alot of bullshit and fights, but as long as there is no violence hits to the bistanders and only to those involved, without weapons its cool. It sticks to the hooligan code.

With that said I do not join in, as i see a need not too.

To put it in a context you may understand it is like feeling proud of an Aussie Metal band ready to tour the world, but hang on weren't you just sitting/standing there banging your head at home or in the audience and getting pissed?

This is true with many other cultures, we think of Lebs as track suit and baseball cap wearing homies that drive around in ricers but in Lebanon they have Metallers, Metal bands as well as Punks, Goths, etc.

HAHA, I talk to 2 Lebs on MSN that are both metallers and can't stand their country. They call themselves American and want to move back/to america.

I called one of them an Arab the other day and he got offended. He said 'Don't ever call me an arab again dude, I am an American'

    Well how about that ey!

Sport is a civilised form of barbarianism and warfare, except when some bulldogs fans r involved. Oh yeh, dont forget the minority of croatians and serbs, but thats jsut the NSW Premier League, who really cares.
