Finally snagged the Waves SSL pack. With the Waves coupon code and buying from Audio Deluxe is was less than $300. I couldn't pass that up.
For ze brutalz, happy happy
Just bought one of these with the LM308 chip in it. I had a Turbo Rat but didn't enjoy it very much.
Thomann had nice price on it. Want something brutal to mix now... to see how much this thing can help me.
For shits and giggles! (and obviously some more interesting sounds for my clean sections...)
And a Sabian AAX 18" China.
EDIT: Changed my mind and canceled the Nikon P520 order for a Canon SX50 HS
Just had some serious GAS!
6505+, Maxon OD808 and went with the gray mesh Mesa Rectifier.
And a 421 on the way:
Upgraded my old trusty RME Fireface 800 to RME UFX. Hell yeah! It's the fourth RME unit in my life, and I absolutely loved them all. UFX is fantastic!
Did you really find the upgrade from the FF800 to the UFX a big leap forward? I have the FF800 and looked hard at the UFX and didn't really know if it would be worth the upgrade.
Yeah it's worth it, FF800 is a great unit but the UFX is even better.
The UFX is awesome.. Got mine two weeks ago and Im loving it.
Upgraded from a Steinberg MR816x, which I am still keeping for extra AD/DA.
The UFX seems like a great piece of gear so far. Seems like alot of thought went into it.
I got a deal which included the ARC remote and its great too
What Brett and Ihsahn said. F800 is great unit (and though I'm planning to sell it now, I'm not sure). But UFX has so much more in it. I'm too biased right now to comment on sound, it sounds sweeter to me but it may be an overdose of endorphin in my brain But the functions are just crazy! The new mixer, the built in FX, that little screen, the controls. Two pairs of headphone outputs, Firewire AND USB. And lots of other features I haven't used yet.
I'm also loving that it has XLR main outputs.
I bought a pool.
I think it qualifies as a studio purchase because I can go tell people to cool off a bit before they come back and track.
No picks because it's not installed yet and I don't really want to post pictures of a pool in this thread.
^^^ I think that qualifies. What kind of pool? Kiddie pool? big ass above ground pool?
24' round 52" walls.
Yeah above ground, I would love to have the cash to spend on a inground, but the codes around here would make that a huge purchase (fence, concrete, excavator etc...)
