@mickrich i wanted to buy the HD650 before but then i discovered the 1990 PRO. my first impression is great, it sounds quite balanced maybe a bit more on the bright side. the "spatiality" is superb, it's almost like listening through speakers, well at least when compared to other, cheaper headphones. i have owned only closes HP's before so maybe this is a factor too. the build quality is fine but the overall padding seems to be a bit less comfortable than the padding on the DT770 PRO, but ok, i have used 770 for more than a decade now, it pretty much became a part of me haha
Finally found a good priced 8100. Yay! Also bought Kurt Ballou's drum samples and got a Zildjian K custom medium Ride for a ridiculously low price.
aside from way too many plugins recently, finally upgraded a few actual real studio things. Amphion one15's and amp100, SPL MTC, massive production desk (was originally custom made for channel 4) and a load of boring functional stuff. bass traps next!
Marshall SL5. Beautiful little amp. Sounds great into 2x12 cab too. Hot rodded JCM800 tone at manageable volume.
I'll be on that boat soon too... Or at least hope so! I have a B7K ultra, which is just incredible, and incredibly versatile, enjoy your gear+
I just got an Axe-Fx II XL https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...heater¬if_t=like¬if_id=1491938895557530
nice! i see you have another fractal unit in the background. the XL is supposed to have a better "Secret Sauce III" instrument input . my question is do you recognise any difference?
Bought a Mad Professor Porter lately. Happy with it. Extremely light (could lift it with two fingers), sounds great and even though it is a 1x12, still produces enough noise to fool our drummer into thinking I had my 4x12 hooked up.
the sampler works really good and it is fast, the cymbals sound phenomenal! shells are very good technically but not my cup of tea. the library is very versatile but generally i prefer Perfect Drums, that's why i put it up for sale and because i need money for a new GAS attack i wish i could mix up the shells from Perfect Drums and the Cymbals from DRUMFORGE, it would be the best drum plugin ever!
Just bought a Peavey 6505MH, a Boss SD-1 and a Koch Dummybox. Apart from cabinet impulses I finally don't need amp sims anymore!
