Finally got some spare time on my hands to record some vids again. Posted this just seconds ago. Also I'm undergoing a short video tutorial on how I record guitars and what I do post EQ, so stay tuned for that. I'm such a dork sitting in on a saturday night posting ego vids EDIT: oh yeah the video:
LOVE that metric modulation at 1:45, great stuff as always man! Sweet solo too, though perhaps a little anticlimactic at the very end with the note choice on that bend - otherwise soaring and expressive though!
I understand what you mean, I just went with that take, the slide was kinda unplanned, it just happened.
Ah, right, I forget not everyone has their solos 100% pre-written like I do In that case, especially sweet since it was an improv!
to say it was an improv is lying though, I might have had it 75% done. But I usually keep the end shred lick open for improv.
Pretty sweet dude, though I agree with Marcus, the solo ends but it feels like something else was going to come after... Great tone and riffs.
Sounds great as always but you shouldn't cut all the high frequencies from the guitars, they sould kind of lo-fi. At first I thought it was due to the low quality of youtube, then I turned on 720p and it's the same sound. Don't get me wrong, they sound really well miked and everything, but just that tiny detail would improve them a lot IMO
smaken är som baken ...the most important thing is the song and I would definately buy YOUR album if you made one
Thanks! No just a right and a left channel. And yeah only recto on this one... I have the script ready for the tutorial, now I just need to videotape everything. Will not happen this week though I have 2 gigs this weekend.
Thanks for the info Ola ! This clip is another example of how dual-tracking can sound sick too, as opposed to quad-tracking being the only way. Can't wait to see those tutorials.
