One of my favourite albums of all time...and their best in my opinion.

Listening to
BAD MOON RISING - Wayward Son

from their self titled debut album

Some Europe and some Vinnie Vincent Invasions (it was my girlfriend picking up some old tapes of her, actually)

(my fave ezn albums are seven and peach fuzz... i prefer their "popper" side, indeed!)

Feel The Force will appreciate that the b-side of my girlfriend's Vinnie Vincent Inasion tape was Megadeth's Rest In Peace

Surprisingly, today she haven't had the usual dose of Crash Diet (a band FG should be crazy for, indeed)

What type of music does Crash Diet play? Right now I have a fixation on getting King Diamond's Abigail remastered with the bonus DVD and Vanden Plas - Christ 0.

they play a very unique sort of 1983 american metal like early dokken/crue/ratt, but without being ridiculous - which is what often happens when today's band try to play "old" stuff.
Have a listen on www.crashdiet.org

yessir!
This proves that I've never been into thrash metal - while my girlfriend used to.

Symphony X - Symphony X

not a bad album, indeed, but the production is not up to it. Who knows what happened to their purpose to re-record it with today's line-up ?

The Blood And The Tears - STEVE VAI

From The Ultra Zone.

Does anybody have the feeling that no matter what Steve does he will never top the classic Passion & Warfare?

I found Room V a bit boring, indeed. Way much below their standars.

yup, FG, you picked the only weak song of that album!

The other ballad, Hands Of Time, is way much better!

I did not pick it. The CD was playing and that song just happened to be on when I posted on this thread!

How very strange...I think Room V is a brilliant record and a very strong release definitely not below their standards...As far as I'm concerned, Shadow Gallery has never let me down.
