I think that Threshold did big step straight ahead with new album. And now the role of the singer seems to me less than before.
Now Rich and Karl compose better music than before. I see their progress. That's why I think that the decision of Mac will not be terrible for the band. Good songwriting is a main thing.

I want to give my support to musician of Threshold. Don't give up! We need your music!

this post is not very respectful sir You should't mess with private people and you might change your tone this is very aggressive and this language is not tolerated here

I understand your feeling but man there's a way to express things ok ? Besides I seriously doubt that both bandmembers and boardmembers will appreciate this.

We're all sad, truth to be told, the only we can do is just accept this decision and wish the best to Threshold and Mac as they go separate ways.

Best of luck, Mac thank you for all these years

Dear Mac,

You are my favorite singer and I cherish the Threshold albums where you sing. Hypothetical is my favorite. I'm sad that you have decided to go but I understand it is for good reasons. We all have been through rough times like you. I wish you well and I'll miss you.

With great respect,
Addy

How can I respect Mac's reason if the way he informed his bandmates is the demonstration of the disrespect

Then you should put yourself in Rich's place for example in that moment. There was the beginning of the tour. And the singer disappeared. Moreover he switched off the phone.
Do you know all the consequences If Damian shouldn't agree to help the band? Problems with the organisators of the concerts, the loss of the band reputation...
Do you like it?

Mac, thanks a lot for all the years you had with Threshold. You've sung on some of their finest albums, and, in many ways, you became the voice of the band. I will always cherish those albums.

I wish you all the best in the future!

Likewise, I wish Rich and Karl all the best with the future of Threshold.

Your fan from Istanbul, Turkey!

Damn....what else can i say.....

No one is living Andrew MacDermott's life but himself, and only he has the right to decide and make options about it. It's a damn sad situation, and i hate to see another top notch vocalist leaving one of my favorite bands...but what can we do, unless wishing Mac and all of the band the best of luck.

We suspended Mac's old account because we wanted him to contact us privately before making any public statements.

In the spirit of wanting to deal with things privately for the moment as far as possible, it would be wrong for me to answer that question.

Fair enough. Well, anyway, thigs are getting clearer. I hope everything ends up nicely for both parts.

Life goes on, it has to. As far as the band is concerned the music has to talk louder, and, Threshold's music is amazing, no matter who is voicing it. Sure Mac's voice was a big part of it, but what the heck, let's move on, Threshold has the power to stand on their own!

The sooner that everybody accepts that Mac is not in Threshold anymore and let go the easier it will be for everybody involved: the band, Mac and ourselves!

Peace.

Do you believe in what you do - or is it just for money?

Nah, sorry, I have difficulties understanding your decision, Mac. Not that I don’t respect it – but it simply doesn’t make any sense! At least the how and when and all thereabouts …

What bugs me most: Why could you not at least do this upcoming tour (if it was possible for 10 odd years, things cannot be as tight and desperate just now, plus there’s always 1001 solution for ANY “problem” – especially when of “only” financial nature)?

Why did you not announce it – in what would be far more typical “Mac style” officially and publically as your farewell tour with Threshold? And what’s more: Discuss this first with the others, as would only be fair?

Why cannot you make it a decent, fair and proper – maybe even glorious – exit from the stage, like one could expect after some 10 years? Like one, where we would all keep you in best possible memory?

- Instead you are pulling out like a wet, beaten dog. Sorry, that’s how it feels to me.

And could it not be that you may have made a lot more money with Threshold in the end – and not before too long? They are about to leap up by another huge level in their career now – with or without you………… Think about how Porcupine Tree gained in popularity just during the last couple of years. From my point of view you are blowing a huge chance into the wind which most musicians only dream of ever getting.

You have been a big part of Threshold – I think you owe everyone, especially yourself, a more appropriate (more honourable!) departure.

Just my two cents.

In any case, I wish you the best of luck, happiness and fulfillment in life.
And I thank you for having put so much unique soul, heart, power and emotion into the music of Threshold.

I hope you are not the type of person to ever regret what you have done – or not done – in life.
