DT at least is a song based band focusing on melody. But in solo sections yes they're virtuosic mostly. But hey when you can do it, do it! lol, why hold back from being virtuosic if you can be?

Nice interview man. I need to get you guys over my house when I get a decent setup happening here with the audio (atm it's all mono which is shithouse!!!) then we can have a special TM set live from my house. lol

Yeah there's nothing wrong with wanking for wankings sake Petrucci Dude! I didn't critisize those bands. I just said it wasn't the sort of Progressive Metal we play. You know i love DT man!
