I have a question - Shouldn't take long to answer :)

Hello.

Right, I'm gonna be professionally printing some CD artwork for the first time soon, but I have a question about something to do with printing on the actual CDs.

What I want to know is; You know if the disc itself is silver-topped?.. and how some CDs have incorporated this into their design? (for example, the band logo on the CD being an area where nothing is printed on, so its all nice and shiny) - How do you do that in terms of the image/file you send over to the printing service?

Do you leave it as a transparent spot in the image file? Or is it more complicated than that?

If anybody knows any info that'd clear this up for me it'd be great

- I hope I explained it well enough...

Its been done on the newer Opeth albums if that helps?
