Woodscream - Trollslottet (tribute to Otyg)
My name is Alexander, I'm from Russia (Saint-Petersburg). Im a leader of the young folk metal band named Woodscream. Being the greatest fans of Vintersorgs music which has unfluenced us most strongly we have recently recorded a cover version of Otygs Trollslottet. Weve translated the original lyrics into Russian and slightly re-arranged the stuff. We would like to show this track to Andreas and would be completely happy to hear his opinion about it, still, unfortunately, I have no another idea how we could contact him and so post here.

Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Thanks for posting this, even though it might only have been meant for the big man, I'm sure many Otyg fans will enjoy it too. I personally would love to hear more, please post a homepage link or something.:S If you have any more material online that is.

Agree with the others, this was pretty cool. I like the fact that you've played with the arrangement, carbon copies are boring...
And I second Vampyrian; more please ![]()

If you have a demo I could review it! ![]() Also, Andreas regularly checks the forum (even if he doesn't post), so I'm sure he'll see it. Отлично!

Great song!! Sounds really really good! I love the voice of the singer ;D.
For the myspace... well, you should do one first without a template and then design it... or if you're lazy there are some sites with templates for myspace. I'll be looking for more of your stuff! |

Да
. I just translate what you say, but I don't know Russian. Yet. I actually bought a "Teach Yourself Russian," but I haven't been able to use it. My girl is going to take a Russian course this semester actually, so I hope she teaches me.

Say Alexander, I put Origin Of Nine Worlds on my IPod (hope you don't mind) and found myself listening to it a lot lately. Very good song, but I wonder, is it possible to get a translation of the lyrics somehow?

I really like the cover.
What I like about covers like this, you added your own 'thing' to it. For instance, you rearanged the songtext into Russian, which is uncommon for most bands. Also, you added your own sound to it a bit. Reguardless of facts I cannot understand what you say, it is a very beautiful song. I give it a 9.5 out of 10 - the orriginal will always remain 'god-like'. But I love what I listened to.

i really loved the song. first it sounded a little bit strange 'cause i didn't expect to hear a female voice singing, but then, after the first shock ( sorry i generally don't like female voices in metal
) i 've started to enjoy it. really beautiful and well arranged! the russian thing gives a particular new taste to the song that i liked sooo much ![]()

I also really enjoyed this version of Trollslottet. Very different and interesting. It would be great to hear another cover of a Otyg song

Спасибо!
Although she dropped the course, she was taking too many and leaving Russian out was the best option .
