In my region we enjoy a kind of beer called "Alt" which is pretty much related to English "ale" since both words stem from the Germanic root of *aluth
Uerige is one of the best but it's quite expensive... ![]() Füchschen is another great one: ![]() If one just wanna party and not spend like 1,70€ for a bottle of Uerige or Füchschen he usually buys Diebels or Schlösser. ![]() ![]() @brimstone: omg, this kind of beer looks so delicious. I'd really like to try it out ![]() |

Currently downing a Chimay Blanc/Tripel.
![]() Man, I love this beer. Wish I could afford to drink it regularly. Those Belgian trappist monks are my heroes.Last edited by AshDLS : November 28th, 2006 at 09:01 PM. |

No beer today. I'm celebrating the opening of my shop the day before yesterday with a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne that's been sitting in our fridge for a fair while.
It's been an exhausting couple of weeks but it's all been worth it. Sitting there playing metal all day long and being able to send people home with some good shit makes it all worthwhile, let me tell you. I'm picking up another batch of quality noise tomorrow. Hell, yeah! |

I have a bunch of "before and after" pics of the place which I'll probably turn into a blog on MySpace but I'll make sure to post some here, as well. I still have a few cool accessories that need to go up though - and I'm not just talking about the TV set. Let's see if I can get some WoY in there too. I think that'll work out just fine, don't you, David? ![]() BTW, that Mill Street Organic Beer looks kinda scary, haha. Sounds interestig enough, though. |

Whoa, bizarre. There's a brand of beer from here in Melbourne called Piss.
It's not too bad actuallyhttp://www.pi55.com/ Anyway, I had a Belle-Vue Kriek the other day, it was excellent. Kind of a sour cherry taste to it. Not cheap though. ![]() |

lately, it's been:
![]() nice porter, very creamy mouthfeel with nice vanilla/chocolate notes. a bit heavy to drink all the time, but good for winter. still waiting on a summit-hopped american pale ale to finish fermenting and an almost Victory Hop Devil clone to finish as well. hope to get some kegs soon so there's no need to wash 100 bottles.

My sister and brother in law took me there when I went out to visit. Really interesting place, and I love the fact that they do indeed have a Steam Whistle that is blown at the end of every day. That was a drunken night... Tour the brewery, then hit up The Beer Market. Good... god... I was in heaven. PS: The school I am currently attending has Steamwhistle on Tap. $4.25 for a pint. I have had numerous liquid lunches in the past few weeks. Anywho, the best beer in the world, bar none is Rochefort 10. ![]()

big thumbs up on the Rochefort 10.
that Unibroue they're selling at Trader Joe's is not bad, considering it's about the same price for 750ml of that as it is for 11.2oz of any Rochefort, though.

Ah, delicious wheat beer! btw, I also totally dig anything from Unibroue! + I need to look for that Rochefort 10. Does anyone know if it's sold anywhere in Ontario? Coatsworth and I will go hunting for it. |

Carlsberg (canned)
If I don´t get my own place and a job soon I fear I´m gonna turn into a part time alcoholic! Right now, I live with my parents (I´m 28 for fucks sake) and I´m bored out of my skull!!! Ahh, fuck self pity!
