If you like Dimmu Borgir, try a band called Einherjer.

Clayman was my favorite album for 2 full years.

I would list what albums I've listened to during the year 2007 but the list is pretty dang long. Probably about 40 or so albums I've listend to this year, most of them were created during the year 2007. My favorite would probably be Gojira - From Mars to Sirius followed by Shearwater - The Dissolving Room.

Also this thread is completely random, I haven't laughed this hard on UM in a long time.

That's a tough one... I can't say I've discovered any favorites this year. A lot of stuff that is pretty cool, but nothing written in stone.

I discovered this year :

Onslaught - Killing Peace : Great solid thrash . One of my favorite cd's this yr.
Five Finger Death Punch - I didn't want to like these guys from the name alone. Yet they're pretty good. The start of track 6 reminds me of older Life of Agony. Fast paced , lots of different influences, I hear some In Flames , unfortunately I hear System of a Down in track 4 "The Bleeding". Overall a great cd.
Divine Heresy - Dino ex Fear Factory guitarist's new band. Great fast drumming . Better than any Fear Factory CD I've ever heard. Not great , but , good cd.
Fueled by Fire - Spread the Fire : great old school thrash cd. Sounds like from the eary 80's with better production, of course.
Blood Tsunami - Thrash Metal : Thrash Metal with a Black Metal vocalist. Unique stuff. Even the instrumental , track 7 (Godbeater) is good.
