Excellent band that definitely needs a whole lot more recognition. Both of their releases are outstanding (imo) but the newest release (Mors Volta) narrowly edges out the 1st release.

One of my favorites is Arjen Lucassen's Star One - Live on Earth. Not too often you get to see Sir Russell Allen and Damian Wilson in the same show.

I really don't read a lot of humorous science fiction but stumbled across a couple of books that were laugh out loud funny. "Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse" by Victor Gischler (post apocalyptic romp through a string of strip clubs owned by a guy named Joey Armageddon) and "Off to Be the Wizard"...

I stumbled across the 1st release from Simulacrum called "Master and the Simulacrum" and was damned impressed with it and play the album on my show quite a bit. The 1st album was released in very early 2012 if I remember right and I am really looking forward to this one.

Just curious if you have ever checked out either (or both) the Tales From the Nightside (John Taylor) or the Secret Histories (Drood Family) series from Simon R. Green? I fell into these after reading The Dresden Files. Both are a fantastic series with even more of the smart-assery of Harry...

Recently listened to the 1st book in the series and was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Definitely going to have to check out the rest!

I would like to thank Urban (and his significant other) and Plamen for being in the chat room last night. A very good time was had by all and some very interesting stories behind the new (and beyond excellent) album from Project Arcadia called "A Time of Changes." Great folks and great music!

Just sitting here listening to the debut from Mike Lepond's Silent Assassins and all I can say is "Yikes!!!" Going to be one of my picks for best of 2014 after the first listen.
