    New KREATOR album

I too love old Kreator, and the savagery of those 80s albums was a main draw for me. Even the 90s albums for the most part I found artistically a success for them. But I do love the new sound; since 2001 far more melody and twin guitar parts and hooks incorporated. If you liked Phantom you would...

    New KREATOR album

Anyone got the new Kreator, "Gods of Violence"? I think it is a fantastic album, one of the very few that really would be all killer no filler. Following up a landmark like 2012s Phantom Antichrist expectations were very high, but they have really delivered. Melodies and hooks everywhere...

    FAK reissue

Agreed, those 2 tracks (Battle and All them Thieves) are chosen by most as the only two weaker links. I have the Japanese FAK and sequenced Vice before those two tracks and it fits - great song I think. I also sequenced Soror Irrumator in, killer track!!

    FAK reissue

Crass cash grab; i understand bands need to do this as revenues from akbum sales are not what they were. However, it does seem awfully crass; just enough differences, including altered cover art, to get us to buy again. I have the Japanese jewel case with bonus track Vice, so its the demos - and...

    OT: New Metallica Track ...

Its no FAK but it is better than I thought it would be. Overlong and plagued with 3 or 4 very average tracks; however, the good is worth it!

Anthrax doing another yet tour playing Among the Living in full

Irish date?? Would love to see them as I missed their gig this year with Slayer.

2016 best year for Thrash since 1990?

That was the question posed by an article I read recently on release of the new Testament album. Thrash was for me the most powerful, visceral form of heavy music when discovering metal at 16 or 17. I have to say this year has been amazing with quality new albums from the old guard - Anthrax...

    FAK place in Anthrax discography

9 or 10 months in, how does FAK fare against the bands back catalogue and against their peers? For me, having lost touch with them on and off since my obsession in late 80s early 90s, the last two albums and absolutely incendiary live shows brought me back. Worship was a major return but FAK...

Joey Preparing For Studio Return "May or may not be Anthrax related"

Hope for more news on this soon; they had 7 or 8 extra songs apparently that didnt make FAK, an EP of new material if not an album would be brilliant.

Anthrax - Monster at the End (video)

Definitely Bushthrax but it is thrilling, one of the highest peaks on the excellent FAK. 10 months in and Ive gone back to FAK on heavy rotation. Megadeths Dystopia dominated for months but FAK is as good; two favourite acts returning in 2016 with top drawer material.

    OT: New Metallica Track ...

10 million views?? I know its all subjective, metallica will always have a magnitude of fans and views no matter how bland the material is. FAK will surpass Metallicas new album for a majority of metal fans; the quality of FAK is recognised in the community. Monster at the End was a highlight...

Physical Copy of For All Kings

I love Soror, from first hearing (I just heard it first a few weeks ago, completely missed it when it initially came out). I have added Soror on the ipod to be part of FAK and it fits great! 'Vice of the People' I can see why it was not included, more B-Side than A, it's nice to have it though.

Physical Copy of For All Kings

Finally heard the elusive "Vice of the People"; its a good track without being great or up there with the best from the album. Soror Irrumator is a better track and really should have been included.

How's the albums holding up for everyone?

Holds up extremely well 2 months in, it's an excellent album. One of Anthrax's best methinks. Many highlights - Monster, Lightining, Evil Twin, Zero Tolerance. Even better than 'Worship Music' and I'd actually place it maybe 3rd in the pantheon of 'Thrax discs!

    Megadeth - Dystopia

Much as I love both bands, I think Dystopia definitely has the edge on FAK. To echo many posters above and my own thoughts above, Dystopia is incredible. Musically it is simply stunning, a thing of visceral beauty. FAK is excellent, but Dystopia is exceptional.
