just got a copy of the new book about progressive metal, "Mean Deviation"...in addition to favorites like Cynic and Atheist and Opeth, there are several pages on motW. the book calls them "the most important avant-garde metal band outside of Norway"! good job, guys.

- they opened with covers of the cure's "prayers for rain" and joy division's "twenty-four", the first time KD ever covered a song, ever - played some coyote (ok not a first) - played "Stained Glass" through from beginning to end (a first!) - closed with a fucking AMAZING rendition of "wayfarer"...
