Violator. Ripping old school thrash from Brazil. Just got an enthusiastic write up at aversiononline. Check these guys out

Anyone heard the new album yet? Came out Tuesday. It sounds somewhat like the last couple YOB albums, but there are some differences too. It's faster in place and a little less doomy. It sort of parallels the change Matt Pike went through from Sleep to HoF, except not that dramatic. Good shit.
Seems like a band that would be appreciated by some of the RC faithful. Just put out an album on Vendlus. I've yet to pick it up, but it's getting some very good press. Here's their page at Vendlus:

A couple reviews:
Metal Review...
Samples, as promised.
I can also add a couple tracks from earlier albums. The band's style has changed quite a bit over the years. Of course, the KJ song you all know is "The Wait", which Metallica covered. That was from their 1980 s/t debut.
Send big files the easy way with sendspace...
Rigor Mortis - "Six Feet Under/Worms of the Earth", from the Freaks EP. Check it out (bang head vigorously enough to ignore the silly lyrics)
Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attatchments? No problem!
Thoughts?
Thought some of the old timers might remember this band. I picked up Annihilation, their one and only album, after seeing a sticker promoting that the band included an ex-Megadeth guitarist. This was back in '87 mind you, when tangential connections were a big part of how I found new music...
Can't remember if there are any 'round these parts, but they were always a favorite of mine. Their new (old) DVD is on its way to me now for review. It's the You Fat Bastards show from The Real Thing tour and a video collection. Both are reissued, but are new to me. Such a great fucking...
Autumn Wind Productions is running a week long sale, and all their CDs are 3 bucks off. Two bucks off on tapes. I've ordered from the site before and it's quick and reliable. The guy that runs it used to be a regular over at MetalReview, but he's not around much since starting the AWP label...
There've been some discussions about what you have to endure as a reviewer, and I've been carrying on about how I don't have to sift through shitloads of metalcore and other crap. But that doesnt' mean I don't have to review some real turds from time to time. Everybody gets a turn...
Pharaoh - The Longest Night. Features Tim Aymar. Obvious Iron Maiden tendencies, but done well. Give this album some attention, it deserves it.
You can stream the album at Cruz Del Sur

Fitting with our recent discussion about the usefulness of metal magazines...
1. Carcass - Necroticism
2. Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
3. At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
4. Obituary - Cause of Death
5. Entombed - Left Hand Path
6. Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption...
From their site::kickass:
15th of February 2006: Now the unborn child has a name! The forth coming debut album of Fall Of The Idols has been baptized as " Womb Of The Earth"
Tracklist:
Sown Are The Seeds Of Doom
Atonoment For The One
The Grand Act
Agonies Be Thy Children...
Great EP, full length out this summer. Sounds a bit like a cross between Mastodon, Swarm of the Lotus and Isis, but the band sounds totally within their own skin.
