The radio station I work at had M&S in for an intimate 3 song set.
Production infos:
Console: Mackie SR24-4
Vocals: SM58
all instruments were DI, kick was D6 and replaced with an LSD drums sample.
Hope you guys dig, these are the final mixes I turned in to the radio station.

Pretty cool... the Miktek PM11 gives more of that "sampled metal kick sound" right from the get go
I really like the Heil PR48 too.. it's got that nice fat low end the Beta 52 has
and I still hate the D112. Hahaha.

what do you guys think of this? obviously they make it seem like it was recorded live with multiple mics, but to me it sounds like the parts were recorded separately, the vocals especially sound very tuned. would you guys agree?
A completely self contained setup with POD guitars, triggered Steven Slate Drums, Pro Tools backing tracks. The FOH and 4 IEM mixes are done from a Macbook Pro
So I've been borrowing KM184s to use as overhead mics for my sessions, and going from SM81s, they fucking smoke them. So open, and crisp, articulated details in all the cymbal hits.
I'm curious though if anyone on this forum has owned/used both of these mics? I've listened to all the...

What is the appropriate response to "cheers"?
In the US, someone says "thank you" and you respond with "you're welcome" but I have no fucking idea what the proper thing is to say when I am dealing with artists from overseas and they say...

I had some people express interest in hearing about my build from the GAS thread so here goes...

The computer/mixing...

I just thought this might be interesting to some of you guys.. it looks like they run 20+ backing tracks although it is hard to tell since you can't see the full screen w/o scrolling and most of the tracks are unlabeled
Not embedding since it's a full res file...
