I have always wondered what effect the guys use when the guitar sounds like it kinda fades in, and it sounds almost like a violin. Its hard to explain but I think you know what I am talking about. Anyways, do any guitar players know how to acheive this effect? Thanks.

The song is absolute shit, it is even worse than other mainstream stuff. Being a producer by trade, that song sounds very badly produced and put together.

That video is damned cool. Its good to actually here what they sound like talking and how they act off stage.

I think MAYH is the most dark, but the album has a lot of beutifal acoustic duet passages that help lighten it up. I found it is kind of like a roller coaster ride and that is why I like it the best because not a lot of albums can do that.

It is not my favorite but it is damned good, nothing can top MAYH in my opinion.

I think the songs will sound like epilogue off of MAYH.

That is what blackawater park and D1 are missing those classic friggin harmonies that they do.

Right now it is The night and the silent water, one of their most emotional songs. Although the entire MAYH is becoming my favorite recently.

MAYH grows on me after each time I listen to it still. At first I hated it but now it is one of my favs. I can wait for Christmas though, I am getting still life for christmas which will complete my Opeth Collection. I have the whole cd on my computer except the last song.

Ya the first time listening to it, it sounds amazing, but after a while you just feel like skipping through it after a few repititions.
