District 97's "In Vaults" was great. Looking forward to finally seeing them live this year. Native Construct's "Quiet World" & Gazpacho's "Molok" were also standouts.

My 2 cents: it's the same lineup as New Era (longtime singer & guitarist + the other 3 recent members). The production's more polished. Keyboard-heavy melodies & shredding unison runs/solo tradeoffs similar to Pagan's Mind. The singer's occasionally gruff (think later Russell Allen) but mostly...

Having finally gotten to hear this one, I totally agree. The mellower arrangements throughout "Sanctitude" really highlight their songwriting prowess. Katatonia just keep getting better, to my ears.
