    Moshing to traditional heavy?

I've definitely been to shows where people started mashing to bands i would never have expected (i.e. Kamelot). Mostly in Worcester, MA. It's a Metal town for sure based on crowd size, but a very peculiar one based on my experience in other places.

    Witherfall

Just got it a couple days ago, impressive new band (though I guess it was actually recorded a couple years ago, release delayed due to drummers death). Guitarist just recently joined Iced Earth.

BLIND GUARDIAN (with GRAVE DIGGER) US/Canada Fall tour

I kind of agree, switch up the bands or the sets. I saw the tour last year and again this time, GD played almost the same set, only two songs different and not really the best choices to sub (imo). This was especially annoying since GD was my main reason for going both times - figured the 2nd...

METAL CHURCH Rejoined By Singer MIKE HOWE

I saw them last week in Poughkeepsie, awesome show, only would have liked a couple more from the first two, but I guess I can understand focusing on the Howe albums for this tour. Howe sounded good on the new CD but I think it might have been a good idea to do a tour first as a warm-up because...

BLIND GUARDIAN (with GRAVE DIGGER) US/Canada Fall tour

I was also at the Worcester show, and yeah it was pretty damn awesome. I was not much of a BG fan before but they really killed it that night. I went mostly for GD and they were great too, just wish they had time for a few more songs. I thought it was kind of odd that GD didn't get at least an...

    Huntress - Static

Love the first Huntress album but the second sounded too tame, hope the new one brings some of the rawness back.

    DEGREED: Dead But Not Forgotten

Not bad, but I'd say Eclipse is better too, or at least edgier.

Station - cool 80s style pop metal from NY

Yep, good band. Guys in their early 20's doing classic 80's style melodic rock very convincingly; they are writing some really catchy tunes w an 80's vibe.

Fates Warning tour and VIP packages...

Whatever it is I'm going to either Poughkeepsie or Worcester!! The last show (and all before) was great and I'm sure this will be too; doesn't really matter in the long run what the focus of the tour is I guess.

    Red Dragon Cartel

I saw one of the first shows w Shawn, in Poughkeepsie, and it was pretty great; hard to replace Ray (impossible?), Shawn was not always spot on, but I was happy when I left.

Fates Warning tour and VIP packages...

Been wondering the same thing. They already toured on the last album the area I'm in last year, so seems unlikely this tour is based on that. APSOG anniversary tour makes sense, would be nice if the band gave some info though for sure.

    *Cough*Glenn*Awaken the Guardian*

Anyone know what the fall US tour is about, i.e. continuing the DIaDL tour, or featuring something else? They are hitting venues for the second time, which is kind of odd after this long, so curious if it will be an entirely different set than the DIaDL tour (I'm going again either way, of course).

    Shotgun Messiah

Awesome band, love 'em! All three albums are great, but Second Coming is definitely my favorite - a perfect sleazy trashy glam metal masterpiece for sure. If you like the first album check out Zan Clan, the singers later band, they are pretty close to the s/t in style.
