Fantastic stuff, could very well top my list this year.

    cd-trackerish sites???

Hopefully within the next month or two Metal Review will add that feature. That's the plan, I think.

Apparently there is no thread about Down

Haha, I'd just stopped by to ask you to post when you've given the album a few more spins. Looks like you're digging Nothing in Return as much as me. I love the vocal melody in the chorus and the whole song just has a great flow. Fantastic song. I don't have the import version with the bonus...

Loving the new one. http://www.metalreview.com/3948/Down-III--Over-The-Under.aspx And Nola is definitely one of my faves.

    Da Fine Liquor Thread

My usual bourbon is Maker's Mark. For the price it's as good as it gets. I also usually have a bottle of Woodford Reserve, and sometimes also drink Knob Creek, Four Roses (single barrell and the new small batch). A little Bookers here and there.

    My thought exactly.

    Metallica

I give RtL a slight edge too, but Leper Messiah sure ain't the reason. I'll agree that TTTSNB slows it down a little. Seeing Metallica open for Ozzy on the Master tour was one of my best concert moments. Being as Kentucky isn't exactly at the cutting edge of...well, anything, Metallica left...

    Metallica

Although I liked it just as well at the time of its release, I don't like Justice nearly as well as the first three anymore. The first three are probably among my most played albums ever.

Do you have a stock portfolio?

I don't get that, Nad. If you're young, it's nuts not to invest in stocks. The market has averaged a 10% return a year over the last 70 years or some shit. I can understand being nervous about sinking your money into a single company or even several, but if you just find a couple good mutual...

new thrash find ... from Ali land

Decent band, but overhyped in my opinion. The iron just happens to be hot.

Mixed Drinks thread. For all the folks who like a mojito with their metal.

Nearly always it's Maker's Mark on the rocks, usually with a splash of water. Every once in awhile it's the same but with scotch.

    Radiohead

Nice, hadn't heard that. OK Computer is where I really got on board. The Bends is definitely a good album, but I don't regard it as highly as most. I hear a lot of praise for Kid A, but I enjoy Amnesiac just as well.

    The new Megadeth album...

"The 'UN' is right, you can't be any more 'un'". Ugh. Anyway, I agree that this album is pretty decent. Better than System, which makes it their best since Youthanasia. The first two tracks are the strongest, but the rest are solid, with the excecption of the remake, which is useless. I'm...

Dio - his solo work from Holy Diver onwards

The first half of Last in Line is fantastic, but as a whole, I think Holy Diver is the better album. Last in Line is the last Dio album I found even remotely listening, although there a couple I haven't heard.
