    Ghost Brigade gear

On their latest album they used a Hagström Swede > Marshall Shredmaster > 5150 and a Gibson SG Faded > Laney VH100R. Both guitarists double tracked their parts and we used a Orange PPC412HP8 cab for all the rhythm guitars. For Bass they used a Fender Aerodyne. The main distorted bass sound comes...

Sounds cool! Which amp is it from Podfarm?

    Shameless self promotion haha

Really like the guitar playing on this. Very solid production too! I'd like it even more if it had more clean singing :).

Royer 121. Too bad I don't own one... 421 works well too.

    Oh man...(recording prospect)

+1 and also ask for references and if their references don't have that "live" feel and the band isn't really tight, you can start discussing other options with them.

First Halcyon Way Mix (Bogner+Recto)...and SVT4 on Bass

Guitars sound very nice. The sound has a cool edge to it, but it's still nice and smooth. Snare & toms also have a nice roundness to them.

    Sonic Pump Studios

I've recorded there quite a lot. Nino from Thunderstone is pretty much the only regular over there. It's used quite a lot by other engineers. Cool studio. I'm not 100% sure if that Amorphis was mixed there...

    NEW WHITE CHAPEL

Sounds brutal. Whitechapel is pretty much the only "deathcore" band I can listen to. The mix sounds really thick & wide and it has a unique overall sound to me. I dig the guitars although the sound can get a little fatiguing, since they're so upfront and saturated.

Here's what I was sent and here's what I did...

+1 !!! Most of the "flashy" stuff in there sounds really sloppy and don't make any sense. Honestly...The amount of editing required to make your drums sound solid is kinda vomit inducing. Learn the basics first!

LSD Drums - Snares v.1. selling now! (incl. teaserclips)

It would be cool if you could offer them separately. I'll definitely get the snare pack when it's ready! Samples sounded nice.

    Boss SD-1 Yes/No? Or TS7?

SD1 is a bit more harsh than the TS9, and IMO it eats even more low end. However, I think it actually sounds just as good as the TS9 with a 2210 ...different, but good. I prefer TS9 with any other amp. Somehow they just seem to work really well with JCM800's.

Better Left Unsaid (My band's new album) Recording Pics and clip.

Drums sound great! It's quite refreshing to hear natural sounding drums these days with this style. Everything else sounds great too! And it's not squashed to death :)

    New Stuff Again

Haha. Sounds almost like some kids cartoon commercial or a theme song , but it's great! I don't mind the autotune effects on this kind of stuff.
