Maybe I am too "East Coast" but I have to go with KIX. There was no more entertaining band to see live in the day and they barely even made it to MTV (when MTV mattered).

My first was a local band KIX followed by Ratt opening for Billy Squier in August 1984. My last was Pentagram/Gates of Slumber in 2010. I have over 1,000 ticket stubs as of a year ago for (nearly) all of the shows I have seen and am I now inspired to create an electronic record!!!

I saw the show here in Virginia on the 15th, if you are a doom fan, or just need of a good show to break up your winter, don't miss Pentagram. Gates of Slumber who I saw for the first time really kicked butt as well despite a forced short set and a replacement guitarist.

Good one! The issue is NOT saving seats for people while they run to the bathroom or get a drink. The issue is that NO BODY is in the seats and they all remain unused for multiple sets.

This year was back to the glory days of old. Minimal technical issues, the AC and smoking were well under control again, every band was at least great. My only jeer were the people saving seats that no one ever even sat in.
