And unfortunately, some people like Nicholas Wolfwood actually support and encourage the trolls. I think that's one of the major defects of this forum: too many people like the trolls here.

Mike doesn't think the bullshit that goes on here is worth his time or money. But the thing that really pushed him to the decision, I think, was a recent thread about a deceased musician that went really poorly.

Many of my favorites have been mentioned. There's the legend of Jack Frober. Sadly I think he may die with this forum.

I agree. It's weird that a lot of newer Dream Theater fans like to bash Moore. AFAIK, other than the abruptness of his departure, they weren't really fighting persay.

In Absentia was itself just the sound of Stupid Dream/Lightbulb Sun with some metal riffs thrown in. Oh, and awesome new drummer.

Not really. I don't care for the Damnation record, despite it being Opeth. I don't like Orchid or Morningrise. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

I've never been able to get into Opeth's first 3 albums. There have been times where I thought Morningrise, for example, was interesting (like, the first week I had it), but they could never hold my attention for very long. Well, Orchid and Morningrise I still don't like, but for the last...

I've been a fan of Opeth since 2004. Only five years, but they've been my favorite band since then. Phases don't last this long.

No. This is the best thrash material in years.

Mike's solo on "The Leper Affinity" is my absolute favorite Opeth solo. "Burden" has a lot of great solos by both Mike and Fred. But Mike's always been and probably always will be my favorite guitarist in Opeth.
