Aeon Zen - Enigma, playback issues?

A friend of mine bought me Aeon Zen’s newest album Enigma through Amazon. It sounds like most of the tracks are supposed to “blend” into one another, but there’s a good 1-2 seconds of dead sound between every track. This seems like something that would happen on a poorly made bootleg copy or something but as far as I can tell this is the retail disc. It wasn’t bought through a third party seller either.

Is this a known issue that you guys saw with your shipment as well? It's really jarring and does a lot to ruin the listening experience. I’m going to rip some .wav versions from the CD and fix it for my digital library, but that still leaves me with a botched retail copy.

Thanks for the suggestion. I e-mailed Nightmare on Saturday and Lance e-mailed back within an hour saying he would mail me another copy. Apparently the first pressing had this issue but only a handful of people actually contacted him about it.
