Black Sabbath

Just listened to it this morning, and I think it's quite good. Ozzy is on form, Iommi is as killer as ever. It does evoke a feel of those older 70s BS albums.

All in all I am pleased with it. :headbang:

It's very middle-of-the-road to my ears (although, in fairness, most albums are when directly compared to Black Sabbath's classic Ozzy/Dio releases). I bought it and am letting it sink in, but so far, I think "The Devil You Know" was a better album, even if it was released under a different moniker. Incidentally, this interview bit made me laugh:

SPIN: "Dear Father" is the last song on the new album and it ends with the same sounds of rain and bells that opened your debut. Whose idea was that?

GEEZER BUTLER: Rick Rubin. I thought it was really cheesy.
